POSITIONS: SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
DEPARTMENT: SCHOOL OPERATIONS

FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Under the authority of the Director of School Operations, the School Principal is responsible for the administration of the educational programs and teaching resources at the primary and secondary levels of a school. He is the educational leader of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Permanent teaching diploma (Brevet) issued by the Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sport of Quebec;
Undergraduate university degree.

REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years of experience in a teaching or in professional position including at least three (3) years in teaching;
Fluency in at least two of the three working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, English);
Experience as a leader in a cross-cultural environment is an asset.

LOCATION: Ivujivik (Hudson Bay)

STATUS: Temporary position

DURATION: As soon as possible to June 30th, 2010

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
Principal / From 66 684$ to 88 911$
Salary depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, a Northern allowance, subsidized housing and food cargo allowances are offered.
Salary and benefits as per the Regulation on the employment conditions of Administrative Personnel of the Board.
