Post-secondary studies department

Student Services, located at 19 Maple, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, is the department of Kativik School Board that is concerned with post-secondary education. It administers and coordinates all aspects of the Post-Secondary Sponsorship Program, which exists to support the beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement who are pursuing their post-secondary education.

 

Application deadlines for obtaining Post-secondary Sponsorship:

*** For the Fall session starting in August, you must apply by February 1

*** For the Winter session starting in January, you must apply by October 1

Jacques Laplante Student Counselor, French sector Provides post-secondary students with personal, educational, and career counselling. Also provides information to secondary 5 students while traveling to the communities of Nunavik

Academic Assistance Counselor, English sector

Provides academic support to post-secondary students in making the transition from the high school system to the more challenging demands of college, helps to make the first semester of college a guided experience

Marc Vachon Academic Assistance Counselor, French sector Provides academic support to post-secondary students in making the transition from the high school system to the more challenging demands of college, helps to make the first semester of college a guided experience
Jason Annahatak Education Consultant, Post-secondary Inuktitut Teaches two credited College level Inuktitut courses to Inuit students at John Abbott College and Cegep Marie-Victorin. He also develops Inuktitut program and materials for the KSB's Post-secondary level
Linda Wood Office Agent All payments to students and suppliers and educational institutions. Leases, inventory of apartments
Annie Angatookalook Secretary Telephone, filing, travel arrangements for students and staff
Tina Tupper Residence Cook Purchasing of all needs in the residence, cooking of meals
Paul Khatchadourian Director of post-secondary department Administers the Post-secondary program. Reports to the executive committee and the council of commissioners on Policy matters. Supervision of the staff. Budgeting. Maintain relationship with other Nunavik organizations. Maintain relationships with Post-secondary Institutions
