POSITION: OFFICE AGENT PRINCIPAL CLASS
DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES AND PAYROLL SERVICES

FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Under the immediate supervision of the Paymaster, the Office Agent Principal Class will ensure the proper administration of key payroll and benefit files and assist with the overall operations of the department.

In particular, but not exclusively, the Office Agent Principal Class will assume responsibilities in the following areas:
• Group insurance and pension funds;
• payroll processing and inquiries;
• payroll calculation;
• participation in the training of employees;
• records of employment;
• payroll verification;
• any other related duty as required by his/her immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Secondary school diploma or a diploma or attestation recognized as equivalent by the Board;
Six (6) years of experience in the field of payroll and the administration of social benefits.

REQUIREMENTS:
Strong background in the field of computerized payroll and/or accounting systems;
Bilingual (French, English).

LOCATION: Central Office in Montreal

STATUS: Regular full-time position

STARTING DATE: April 2010

WORK SCHEDULE: From 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
From $19,68 to $22, 89 per hour depending on experience and qualification.
Salary & benefits as per the Support Staff Collective Agreement of the Board.
