The School Board wishes to create a bank of candidates that would be interested in filling Principal’s position which may become available during the school year.

FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Under the authority of the Director of School operations, the School Principal is responsible for the administration of the educational programs and teaching resources at the primary and secondary levels of a school. He is the educational leader of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Permanent teaching diploma (Brevet) issued by the Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sport (MELS);
Undergraduate university degree.

REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years of experience in a teaching or in professional position including at least three (3) years in teaching;
Fluency in English and French;
Experience as a leader in a cross-cultural environment is an asset.

STATUS: Various status (Full-time – Replacement)

LOCATION: Nunavik communities

DURATION: Full-time starting August 2010
                       Replacement, various duration between August 2010 to June 30, 2011

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
Principal / From 66 684$ to 95 467$
Salary depending on sector, experience and qualifications. In addition, a Northern allowance, subsidized housing and food cargo.
