Courses Offered

As a full-time or part-time student, you get to choose courses at the high school level. Courses are available in a classroom-based or distance education format.

Distance Education

Flexible. Ongoing. Supported. Study from anywhere, at your own pace, with teacher support. No deadlines. Start anytime—even during summer.

We offer the following Secondary level courses:

Inuktitut • French • English • History • Social Sciences • Contemporary World • Geography • Personal and Social Development • Financial Education • Mathematics • Science • Chemistry • Physics • Computer Science • Biology • Physical Education.

We will analyze your student file to determine the number of credits you need to complete a Secondary School Diploma, or pre-requisites for vocational training or for a college program.

After analyzing your student file, we will get in touch with you. We will discuss your options and complete your registration.

Your success is our priority. Once you’re registered, you’ll have full access to course materials and online content—plus personalized support from teachers and consultants every step of the way.

Support is available by phone or through video calls on Microsoft Teams. Our team will make sure you receive everything you need and help you with any questions along the way.

In addition to remote support, local teachers from the youth sector are available in every Nunavik community. Once you’re enrolled in a course, you’ll be able to connect with a teacher right in your village.

Unfortunately, Kativik Ilisarniliriniq does not provide financial support to distance education students at the moment. However, you’ll be able to study while working, since you can manage your own schedule.

In-classroom courses

In-person learning at six centres across Nunavik. No deadlines. Start anytime—courses pause for summer break.
