University

Students who have completed their CEGEP studies may decide to pursue their studies at the university level. Mature students* who do not hold a DEC may also apply directly to any university in Quebec. The province’s 18 universities offer a wide range of programs.

Students sponsored by Kativik Ilisarniliriniq have studied at universities such as McGill, Concordia, and Bishop’s in programs ranging from education to public relations to First Peoples studies and law. Students wishing to study outside of Quebec must consult with the Post-Secondary Student Services Department to discuss available options.

*Note: A mature student is defined as someone who is 21 years of age or older at the time of applying and who does not meet the standard entry requirements.
