By enrolling in this program, you will be able to:

  • Inform, supervise, and lead groups of fishers or hunters in the great outdoors.
  • Demonstrate appropriate hunting and fishing techniques to your clients.
  • Navigate and drive safely in wildlife territories.
  • Use hunting weapons safely and responsibly.
  • Prepare for hunting and fishing activities thoroughly.
  • Guide clients directly during hunting and fishing activities.
  • Dress and prepare the client’s catch.
  • Maintain buildings and infrastructure located on the territory.
  • Interact with clients using strong qualities of sociability and responsibility.
  • Apply all regulations in force and strict safety rules.

Admission requirements

This program is eligible for the TCST-STC bridge. Select the pathway below that applies to your situation.

To be eligible for admission, you must meet at least one condition from each category.

Conditions – Category A

Must meet at least one of the following:

  • Secondary III Credits: Earned credits (or equivalent) in language of instruction, second language, and mathematics.
  • AESS: Obtained an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary Studies.
  • GDT: Successfully completed the General Development Test (with or without specific prerequisites).

Conditions – Category B

Must meet at least one of the following:

  • Study Interruption: Has paused full-time studies for at least 12 months.
  • Age Requirement: At least 18 years old when entering training.
  • Prior Diploma: Obtained a Secondary School Diploma (SSD), Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS), or equivalent.
  • Emploi-Québec: Meets eligibility conditions of Emploi-Québec’s workforce training measure.

If you completed the TCST pathway, you are eligible by meeting all three of the following conditions:

  • Hold a TCST.
  • Be at least 16 years old on September 30 of the school year you start training.
  • Have earned required credits in language of instruction, second language, and math (Secondary Cycle 1 in youth sector OR Secondary II in adult education).
