Each year, we highlight the commitment of our staff. This newsletter is the perfect opportunity to showcase the excellence, dedication, and professionalism our employees demonstrate. By introducing some of the staff, we want to emphasize the importance of their efforts and achievements, and thank them for the very special way in which they have contribute to the growth of our organization, in every sense of the word.

Our 10 years of service award recipients are:

The Evie Ikidluak Award is presented annually to the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq staff members who have devoted ten years of service to Kativik Ilisarniliriniq. Evie Ikidluak, the first Inuk to graduate from McGill University, was the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq’s Director of Education Services and Associate Director General when she passed away in 1982 at the age of 35. Congratulations and nakurmiik to this year’s recipients!

Our 20 years of service award recipients are:

The Mitiarjuk Nappaaluk Award recognizes those devoted employees who have actively worked for Kativik Ilisarniliriniq for 20 years. The Award is named in honour of the beloved Elder from Kangiqsujuaq who was one of the most respected teachers of traditional Inuit culture and language. Mitiarjuq worked fervently to ensure that the history, the legends, the traditions and expressions of old were recorded before they vanished entirely from people’s memory and experience. Congratulations and nakurmiik to this year’s recipients!

Our 30 years of service award recipients are:

The Elisapee Tukkiapik Award is presented annually to the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq staff members who have devoted 30 years of active service to Kativik Ilisarniliriniq. Elisapee Tukkiapik was a long-serving teacher, school administrator, and pedagogical counsellor who worked at Jaanimmarik School in Kuujjuaq. Congratulations and nakurmiik to this year’s recipients!
