You don’t need to have an active-beneficiary status to be eligible for sponsorship.

Follow your interests when you choose a program of study; you can be eligible for sponsorship even if you study outside the province of Quebec.

It’s your first time living outside Nunavik? Moving to pursue your studies in the program you’ve been admitted to can be stressful. To ease the transition, a friend or family member can accompany you while you relocate and settle in.

In addition to support from a loved one, you can access in-house counseling, academic support and psycho-social support services.

If you’re a first-year student or have never lived on your own before, the student residence may be a good option. The school board also manages leases, and you can live in an apartment we rent.

If you prefer to manage your own rental lease, it’s also possible. In this case, you will receive a housing allowance.

Juggling parental responsibilities can be challenging when you are studying full-time. To help you succeed, we’ve built in extra support.

As a single parent, you can be accompanied by a person of your choice who will help you with day-to-day life. This person will receive their own financial allowance.

Under the sponsorship policy, single parents attending 3 courses (or 9 hours) per semester are considered full-time students. Having the option of a reduced schedule can make an important difference in your ability to succeed.
