As the days grow longer and the land begins to stir, we find ourselves in the heart of spring. Across our communities, Culture Weeks are bringing together students, staff, and community members to take part in traditional activities and demonstrations. These moments remind us, in a very tangible way, why our work matters. It is a meaningful time to celebrate our cultural heritage and recognize the perseverance our students have shown throughout the year.

That same sense of purpose continues to guide our advocacy on behalf of students. We remain committed to protecting their rights through our ongoing challenge of Law 14. Our goal is to ensure that Inuit students can continue to exercise their inherent rights as they move into higher education, without facing administrative barriers that could limit their futures. No student should be confronted with language requirements that do not reflect their reality as residents of Quebec or be made to feel that they are not enough.

Within the organization, our Strategic Plan continues to move forward. In the coming year, one of our priorities will be to strengthen the way we support staff. We are creating more opportunities for collaboration and open dialogue across the organization, while also working to ensure that employees receive strong onboarding, clear expectations, and the training they need to succeed in their roles. We want every employee to feel supported, valued, and equipped to contribute meaningfully to our shared mission.

We are also continuing to invest in our educational programs. One important initiative is the work being done to better align the curriculum across dialects, while respecting the linguistic realities of each community and ensuring greater consistency for students. Teams are currently working to strengthen alignment from kindergarten to Grade 6, while making sure first-language teachers have the support they need. At the same time, we remain committed to strengthening post-secondary pathways, including Nunavik Sivunitsavut, so that these opportunities remain stable and continue to prepare youth for meaningful roles in their communities.

Finally, we continue to invest in our physical spaces. This includes staff housing, warehousing, school renovations, and the major $122.5 million project for a new school in Quaqtaq. More than mere construction, these projects represent an important investment in the infrastructure our region deserves.

Wishing you all a restful summer on the land with your families. Thank you for your continued dedication to the students of Nunavik.
